Driveway is finished!!

Been waiting a few days but well worth the wait. They've extended it around to the front door as well which is great news. This is the side view - it's literally just been put down

And here is the view straight on.

Rear fencing is starting to go up

It's a been a long hard slog trying to get my neighbour to raise the fence height by 600mm as his land is now up higher than natural land height. After getting the lawyers and the Private Certify Authority involved, they finally saw sense. It was much easier for them to get in from their side. They actually ended up pulling out their soil pipe so that they could did the holes. Their soil pipe was pretty much right next to the bore holes so probably would have broken anyway.

Looking at the holes from a different height, stood on the wall. They've decided to do the entire length in one hit including Charles (next door neighbour) as well.

Fireplace (Jetmaster) is finished!

The Jetmaster XLR-Plus ( http://www.jetmaster.com.au/product/gas-fires/xlr-plus/ ) fire installed with a Tonic Graphic Flange with log effect fire. Can't wait to turn this on in the winter!!

Funny story. The day before the Gyprock was put on the walls, I phoned up Nathan (my Project Manager) and said "I take it you want the fireplace plugged in before the walls go up??". Yep, it was left unplugged. That would have been fun trying to sort that out afterwards!!

Driveway preparation starts

Good to see that the driveway concreters have used their initiatives and widened the driveway and also included a path going to the front of the house. I thought I was going to have to add this afterwards.

They've kept a good angle at the top as well, so I can wash the cars up there on a slight gradient.

Electrics are in!!

Master Bedroom - the silly flying saucers are the standard light holders. To save yourself $50 a light, which adds up pretty quickly, you get these lights installed and then swap then over for downlights. I tried to convince the electricians to just use a holesaw and drop down a plug for the lights but they were having none of it - jobsworths!! So I've got my work cutout for a day changing 67 of them to downlights. The fan below is underneath the outlet which I'm convinced is going to be a problem but the air con company are refusing to move it.

Family room looking over to Dining Room/Kitchen.  I will have to move the air conditioning vent as it's in the way of the light that we've bought for over the island unit.

Master Bedroom again, looking through to the ensuite.

Front portico and garage doors are on

This photo was taken after the Cedar wood was installed on the balcony. The carpenters did a fantastic job but they ran out of wood.

Painter has been and they have now stained it. It's not exactly the same colour as the garage doors but it does look really striking

Close up look. Bit of brickwork missing that needs finishing and the last few pieces of wood next to the entrance door. Once that is done, the gyprock can go under the balcony and the lights installed.

Garage doors are looking lovely. So glad we went for this colour. It blends in nicely with the rest of the house.

Looking good!

Solar Panel Layout

Energus have kindly got me an aerial view of the roof with the solar panels on. Looks pretty cool!! I'm going to go with the top one so that you can't see my panels from the road when you look at the house from the front.
