Wynard from Great Yard eScapes did a beautiful job!!
Keeping it nice and level and dead straight! Good wide solid base and Wynand has packed the cement around the base blocks to stop it from sheering.

Ag Pipe going in to pull the excess water away. I will get the plumbers to hook it up to the drain once the house build has finished.
Backfilling with gravel so that the ag pipe doesn't get blocked. Also filling the wall with gravel as well to stop it from moving
We are using a methodology called Geogrid rather than steel rods which would have been really awkward with these type of blocks (Tasman Blocks from Baines Masonry). Very clever stuff. You can go up to 3m high using this method - even my Structural Engineer was impressed!

There's a great video here to explain how it works

More on my neighbours side under their earth and under the fence.
The finished article and the envy of the street - getting lots of looks from the road! I've left a 750mm gap between the wall and the boundary line so I can put some plants in between the wall and the fence. The fence will have to be raised as my neighbours house is 600mm higher than natural ground level.
